Andy Cobb and I put together a short, funny video making the case for transit investment by advocating for saving traffic and thus *not* funding public transportation. We submitted it in US PIRG’s video contest on public transportation and we are one of three finalists.Now, members (and people who decide to become new members) of US PIRG can vote for the winner, so check out the three videos and please vote for “I love traffic” (assuming, that is, you like our video more than the other two finalists).While you’re at it, become a member of US PIRG. They are lobbying for transit and we need a lot of support to take on the highway establishment. Finally, if you work for a transit agency, you should consider holding a video contest for anyone to submit a fun video about your service. It’s very cheap and a good way to get some attention (as well as some good video).
