We are very excited to announce that the Premiere Issue of More Riders Magazine has gone to print. Subscribers should be receiving their copy of the magazine within two weeks and a digital copy of the issue is available for subscribers to download now.

The first issue of the magazine includes our comprehensive review of transit agency websites with full information on each category of information provided, an interview with Chris Hamilton, the Director of Arlington County’s award-winning efforts to earn more riders through better communication, examples of successful communications campaigns from around the nation, some great ideas for boosting ridership and an article on how to build accessible websites.

If you are not a subscriber to More Riders Magazine, it’s not too late to receive the first issue. The annual subscription is $144 and you can subscribe online and pay with a credit card or paypal.

The next quarterly issue is coming in the spring. We’re working on book reviews of some of the most exciting and innovative books on marketing, a discussion of the new political coalition partner for transit — the climate change movement, probably a long focus on off-peak riders and successful strategies to convince potential riders to take the bus or the train when we’ve got the capacity to move them and potentially a review of successes in Europe in transit marketing (I’ve got a trove of materials to go through).

We are also working on subscriber-only content and features (we’re thinking about live chats with authors of marketing books — any ideas?), so jump on board and subscribe to More Riders today. Don’t miss out!
